I almost answered my question by writing my last question. I said I opened Eclipse from the Success window. I did. That belatedly told me I had something executable already on my machine. So I went looking for it. I found this file:
I clicked on it and it launched the app. I did a little jiu jitsu with .png to .ico conversion, and fooling windows into putting a .jar file on the task bar, but it works fine. Imported a project, checked basic function and I'm good for now. Thanks, Tom

Executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library Hi. Ive downloaded newest version of Open Studio for DI but the app doesnt open, I get the following error. The Eclipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library After doing a routine eclipse upgrade, v3.4, via the automatic upgrade agent, eclipse wouldn't start anymore.
